In my recent post ranking the NY Times columnists, I wrote that I hadn’t the faintest idea who Charles Blow was. He is published on the editorial page every other Saturday, as weak a spot as there could be on that page.
At any rate, I’ve had the chance to read his last two columns. Apparently, he is some kind of visual artist and publishes a graph with each of this pieces. It works, and it’s good stuff. He has a breezy, almost colloquial, style and makes his points in a concise, readable way. The visual aids enhance the presentation.
Note to Andrew Rosenthal: Give this guy a real shot.
Here’s today’s great column about the Jesse Jackson incident.
